MONDAYS AT TADCASTER GRAMMAR
Monday track at Tadcaster
The club’s main weekly track session. Juniors and adults train on the same track on the same evening.
What Monday night is
This is the club’s main weekly track session. U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18 all train on the same evening at Tadcaster Grammar School, on the school’s recently refurbished all-weather Redgra track, and adult members train alongside them.
That is the point of a Monday. A parent can be on the track at the same time as their child rather than watching from the side, which is how a good number of our adult members started. More about the adult side →
Sessions are led by England Athletics licensed coaches who are Enhanced DBS checked, and athletes train in groups rather than all doing the same thing. What that looks like on the night depends on the group and the time of year.
This one is for club members and existing athletes rather than a turn up and try session, because the groups are coached to a plan across the season. If your child is not a member yet, the junior page explains how places work and what the waiting list situation is.

Families deciding
Worth seeing what the weekly commitment actually looks like before you join the waiting list.
Older juniors
U16 and U18 athletes train here alongside the younger age groups rather than being sent elsewhere.
Not a member yet?
Junior places are limited and there is a waiting list, but it is always worth asking. The junior page explains how it works.
